About the Parker House
We designed the Parker House to be a sanctuary in the middle of Detroit’s historic West Village and Indian Village neighborhoods. You are steps away from award-winning restaurants and protected historic architecture.
Red Hook Coffee, Marrow, Sister Pie, and Two Birds are a few local haunts less than 2 blocks from our front door. You can Lyft to Downtown Detroit in 10 minutes.

A stay at the Parker House is more than a room. Every room features a premium memory foam mattress and crisp bedding. Guests have access to one of our two full kitchens as well as:

Meet your hosts
Your hosts are Karen and Thane, a mother and son duo with travel in their blood. Karen opened her first bed & breakfast in Petoskey, Michigan in 1986 and Thane designed his first Detroit property in 2014.
Our family has been living in Detroit for close to 100 years: Karen’s grandfather served on city council and coached the Detroit Lions, inspiring our “Gus Dorais Room.” Thane is currently starting a school in Detroit called the Planet School.
